Gaskin Park from the air — the oval, netball courts and clubrooms

Churchill Football Netball Club — The Cougars, Gaskin Park, Churchill VIC

Off camera

What you don't see on game day.

The volunteers

The club runs on the people who set up Gaskin Park before anyone else arrives — the gate, the canteen and the jobs nobody sees.

The juniors

Under 18s on the oval, 15 & Unders and 17 & Unders on the court — the grades the next senior side comes out of.

The weekend

Netball courts beside the oval, the canteen open, and the clubrooms still going after the last siren.

The Club

136 years of blue & gold

The Churchill Cougars are one of the North Gippsland Football Netball League's most successful clubs. Across our Mid Gippsland and North Gippsland eras the club has claimed 26 football premierships — flags won across seniors, reserves and thirds. Our A Grade netballers are the league's back-to-back premiers, winning the 2025 and 2026 flags. From our home at Gaskin Park, we field senior and junior footy sides and netball teams across every grade, all under the one banner.

We're more than a football club. We're a place where families gather every weekend, where kids learn the game, and where the Latrobe Valley comes together. Whether you want to play, help out or just come and watch, there's a place for you here.

2026 Memberships

Back the blue & gold

Join the Cougars family. Every membership directly supports our players, juniors and netballers — and gets you through the gate.

Members get FREE entry to every home game at Gaskin Park. Your digital membership card lives on your phone — just scan the QR at the gate. No card to lose, no cash needed.

The 2026 season has finished — there are no more home games this year. A 2026 membership still runs until 31 March 2027, and paid by bank transfer every cent of it goes to the club. Renewals for 2027 open in February.

What joining actually involves

1Pick a membershipThe price on the card is the price you pay — nothing is added at checkout.
2Name, email and mobileOnly what the club needs to set up your card and stay in touch. The club never sells your details.
3Pay by bank transferStraight into the club's account using the reference you're given — no processing fees, and the club never sees card numbers.

Your digital membership card and its gate QR are ready the moment you join. Bank-transfer memberships switch on as soon as the club confirms your payment. Full detail is in the Membership T&Cs and the Privacy Policy.

Already a member?

Good to know

Questions & answers

The things members (and the committee) ask most.

How do members get into home games free?
Your digital membership card lives on your phone with a live QR pass. At the Gaskin Park gate a volunteer scans it — green tick, you're in. The code refreshes every 30 seconds like a concert ticket and each one is good for a single scan, so a screenshot passed around later won't get anyone in. Your membership gets you into every home game — and if the phone or the signal lets you down, the volunteer can still look you up by name or member number.
What if someone doesn't have a smartphone?
No problem — the gate volunteer can look any member up by name or member number in the club's member list, and the club can print a card for anyone who'd like one.
Does the club pay fees on website payments?
Not on bank transfers. A bank transfer costs the club nothing — the money lands straight in the club's own account. Card payments can be switched on later if the committee wants them; the payment provider charges a fee on each transaction, so it's the committee's call whether to offer it.
How do I get my merch or membership pack?
Everything is collected at the club. Once your payment is confirmed, the club contacts you to arrange pickup from the Gaskin Park clubrooms — every order is on the committee's list with your name, so nothing goes missing.
Who keeps the website up to date?
The committee — no tech skills needed. A simple Club Admin login lets you add functions, update merch and post news, and football fixtures, results and ladders come in automatically from the league's published results. Netball scores are entered by the committee.
Is member information safe?
Member details are stored in a secure members database and payments go straight to the club's own bank account — the club never sees or stores card numbers. How your information is handled is set out in the privacy policy — worth a read before you join. The committee is currently adopting it. Website enquiries go straight to the club secretary's email.
Can I register to play through the site?
Playing registrations still go through PlayHQ as required by the league — the site links you straight there, and covers everything else: membership, merch, fixtures, functions and news.
The season's finished — is it still worth joining now?
A 2026 membership is valid until 31 March 2027. There are no more home games before then, so joining now is mainly a way to back the club over summer. If you mostly want game-day entry, wait for 2027 memberships, which the committee opens before the new season.
